In mathematics, zero is at the extreme end of numbers, the beginning of everything and the absence before completion. Even Zèro by Contadi Castaldi has its beginnings in the extreme: closely connected to raw materials, this wine celebrates the perfect moment for the harvest, the instant in which everything begins. In the glass, the persuasive gentleness of Chardonnay in harmony with the authentic dynamism of Pinot Noir becomes apparent: in some vintages, the absolute balance fosters the white grape, in others the black. Zèro 2019 stems from the 22 harvest selections and 29 vineyards that contribute to forming it sensory profile, the expression of a vintage yielding a wine that is energetic, powerful and structured but also pleasant and drinkable at any time.
